About East Devon HR

East Devon HR is set up to support business and not for profit in East Devon. Sue Cockayne has 30 years' experience in HR, latterly as Head of HR for a highly successful international charity.

Sue has worked at a strategic level as part of senior management teams; and has a broad experience of volunteering through acting as, amongst other things, as school governor and as Director of Junior Rugby. She has set up East Devon HR to act as an independent HR Consultant supporting business to create great places for people to work.

Sue's key skills are in organisational development having designed in-house skills, learning and management development programmes; values and behaviour frameworks and competency-based performance processes. She has developed volunteer strategy and recruitment as well as delivering wide scale change programmes. Sue is very familiar with the processes within the employee life cycle and on delivering good practice HR for both employees and volunteers.

Sue is passionate about supporting local business which enable communities to thrive and create sustainable futures.
